Study in Canada

Sharing the largest border with its neighbor, The United States, Canada is the second-largest country in the world. It is known for its beauty in nature and wildlife. Being vast in size, Canada houses various types of landscapes and ecosystems. The capital city of Canada is Ottawa. Canada has only 35 million people compared to its large size with California having a larger population than all of Canada. Most of Canadians live in highly urbanized areas mainly occupying Southern Ontario, the Montreal region, Vancouver city, southern Vancouver Island, and the Calgary- Edmonton corridor. Ninety percent of Canada's population lives within 160 kilometers of the border with the United States, whereas northern Canada has a very low population due to its severe environment.

English and French are Canada's two official languages. The currency is the Canadian Dollar (CAD). Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories. The government of Canada is headed by the Prime Minister. More than half of Canadians have a college or university degree making Canada the world’s most educated country. There are four seasons in Canada - Spring, Summer, Autumn (Fall), and Winter.

Universities in Canada are noted for their high-quality education and internationally recognized degrees and qualifications with tuition fees that are some of the lowest in English-speaking countries. International students may anticipate resources and services such as orientation sessions, support programs, academic advising, prayer rooms, student groups, and aid with medical difficulties or housing challenges to help them succeed in their university studies. International students also are provided with the opportunity to work while studying, taking advantage of cooperative education and internships. Studying in a new environment would help with developing confidence and a sense of responsibility, meeting new people, learning a new language and culture, and developing new perspectives of the world. Graduates from Canadian Universities or colleges are provided with the opportunity to work there for up to one year after graduation. Being a peaceful and safe country that is politically stable, Canada has been ranked by the United Nations as one of the best places to live in the world.

It is important to be aware of the possible expenses and how much it costs to live in a place beforehand. The tuition fees vary based on the choice of course, the ranking of the university, and the university itself. That being said, the cost of living in Canada is affordable. The average tuition fee ranges from CA$ 15,000 - CA$ 40,000 per year. The cost of accommodations ranges from CA$ 765 -  CA$ 2,200 based on the location and type. Groceries and miscellaneous costs from CA$ 300 - CA$ CA$ 550. There are also scholarships provided to financially support applicants.
