Study in Italy
Italy is a boot-shaped peninsula in southern Europe that juts out into the Adriatic, Tyrrhenian, Mediterranean, and other bodies of water. Its geographical position has had a significant impact on its history. Italy is surrounded by the sea, and its core is divided into regions by mountains that crisscross the country. The Alps, which run over the country's summit, are dotted with long, narrow glacial lakes. The Apennines mountains go south from the western end of the Alps all the way down the peninsula. Italian art, architecture, and culture have influenced people all over the world since the emergence of the Roman Empire. Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo are two well-known Italian artists. The Catholic Church, which is ruled by Vatican City, a city-state bordered by Rome, is also based in Italy.
