Study in Switerland

Switzerland is a small country that is rather mountainous and landlocked, bordered by Austria, Germany, and Liechtenstein. It is about the size of New Jersey and is situated in between France and Italy. Switzerland is one of the world's richest countries. Watches and clocks are well-known in Switzerland. In Switzerland, there is no one official language. Several languages are spoken, including Swiss German, French, and Italian. The confederation is made up of 26 cantons or states that make up the country. The president is the government's chief executive. The Federal Assembly elects the president and vice president from the Federal Council. They are elected for a one-year term. In most cases, elections are conducted in December. The climate in Switzerland is mainly moderate, but it varies widely across locations, ranging from glacial conditions on mountaintops to the frequently pleasant near-Mediterranean temperature at the country's southern edge.

Swiss universities provide world-class education, with cutting-edge courses and state-of-the-art laboratories and libraries. Swiss universities attract the top faculty and researchers, so students can expect to be taught by the best in their discipline. Switzerland's institutions are known for their academic prowess, which ensures that students strive for excellence at all times. Employers all throughout the globe see the Swiss degree as highly regarded and respected. The Swiss government, universities, and the corporate sector all invest heavily in research and development. The international scientific community holds this country's academic papers in high esteem. International students can work 15 hours per week during the semester and full-time during the holidays while studying in Switzerland. Given the high cost of living, this option is beneficial for students who need to earn money to cover their day-to-day expenditures. Students must find work within six months after graduating and apply for a work visa.

The cost of studying and living in Switzerland varies depending on the university or college attended, the course is taken, and the location and kind of accommodation available. It also depends on the lifestyle and mode of transportation chosen. The tuition fee ranges from CHF 5000 - 24000 with some MBA programs ranging between CHF 30000 - 85000. Accommodation can cost from CHF 500 - 2000 based on what kind of housing is preferred, e.g. Studio apartment, shared flat, etc. The expenses for food and groceries range from CHF 200 - 700 per week including eating out and going out with friends. Public transport costs around CHF 100 per month. Hence the total living expenses would average up to CHF 33000 per year. The expenses can be reduced with proper planning. International students can apply for scholarships and grants. International students are also allowed to work part-time for up to 15 hours a week which will help students manage their expenses.
